Start with a walk-through
We look at every outside door and tell you which upgrades make the biggest difference for your home. Many front doors give way at the frame, not the lock, so a reinforced strike plate with long screws is often one of the most useful upgrades.
After a break-in
We replace damaged locks and strike plates and rekey the rest, so any keys that were taken stop working. If the door or frame itself is badly damaged, we'll tell you when you need a carpenter.
Renting?
Check with your landlord before changing locks. Many leases require the landlord to have a working key.
Questions we hear a lot
Do I need to replace all my locks?
Usually not. Often a few targeted upgrades, plus rekeying, give you most of the benefit.
Are smart locks secure?
A good smart lock can be as strong as a good regular deadbolt. Look at its strength grade, not only its features.
Can you upgrade the lock on my sliding door?
Yes. We replace worn sliding door latches and add stronger locks.
